The Junior PGL
Our commitment to the future
As part of our commitment to the future of the game we will also operate a Junior League (the JPGL).
Inspiring and fostering young talent is key to the long-term prosperity of any sport and we want to ensure the PGL helps to bring global talent and young talent together at every opportunity.
The Players
- 48 juniors per week – that’s 816 per season
- Aged 12 to 18
- An equal split of male and female players
- 12 teams of 4, each representing a PGL team and sporting that team’s kit
- All selected in consultation with local golf association/federation
Play
- Monday (or Tuesday) of each tournament week
- 18 holes
- Tournament course
- Individual stroke play
- Shot gun start
- Broadcast via PGL channels
Perks and prizes
- Team bay and lounge access on the day of play
- ‘Inside the ropes’ access for the individual top 3 gross and net, boys and girls
- Tournament tickets for the players and their family
- Team apparel, bag, head covers, umbrella and scorecard holder
- Meet the stars
- Invitation to attend star clinic at the Play-Offs for the 6 top girls and boys, gross scores
- In addition, each team will be encouraged to operate a junior academy
