Proposed Community
Ownership Allocation
Professional sport would not exist without its participants and the fans. As such, we believe that they are its rightful custodians
Historically, the teams own the leagues. Fans, the beating heart of any professional sport, might get the opportunity to own shares in certain teams, but they rarely get to own part of the league itself.
SO, FANS GET TO OWN PART OF THE LEAGUE?
Yes, we plan to gift 50% ownership of the League to members of golf’s community (on a basis yet to be determined). That includes professional golfers, men and women, touring and/or non-touring, the charitable and commercial operators of existing tournaments and fans.
The allocation of ownership, the structure of any offer and the rights attaching to any shares will be determined following a period of consultation with those bodies that represent professional golfers and promote the amateur side of the game.
We hope to conclude this consultation period within the next few months. We will then finalise our plans and begin the legal process. Speaking of which, for legal reasons, we are obliged to say that this proposal does not constitute, nor should it be construed as an offer of shares to any individual, entity or group. A formal offer of ownership will only be made, if at all, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. And for the avoidance of doubt, please read the following.
Any securities that may be distributed have not been registered under the securities act of 1933, as amended, and may not be offered or sold in The United States absent registration or any applicable exemption from registration requirements. This information does not constitute an offer of any securities for sale.
We ideally want the League to be a joint venture, unifying and uniting golf’s community for the good of the game.
Proposed Ownership
The Proposed IPO
We also plan to IPO the business following the launch of the League. This will provide shareholders with an exit, maximise transparency and ensure the highest standards of governance, for decades to come.
