THE WOMEN’S GAME
Our commitment
Embedded within our DNA and long-term vision is an absolute commitment to raising the profile of and benefitting the women’s game
So, in addition to consulting with the representatives of professional women golfers re the allocation of League ownership, we plan to work closely with the women’s game now and in the long term.
We are creating the ultimate stage for professional golf and our commitment centres around not only shared ownership but reducing costs and increasing revenues.
Here’s how we see it working:
Shared profile
- A two-week festival of golf when the Leagues come to town
- Women play week 1, men play week 2, same course
- Women will be eligible to represent the 13th Franchise
- Via a shared schedule and venues, the League would further raise the profile of the women’s game
- A raised profile should boost purses and encourage more female participation
Shared resources
- Course infrastructure
- Broadcast production
- Marketing
- Ticketing, membership, hospitality
- Competition management
Ownership
- Separate ownership
- Separate management
- Separate brand (as appropriate)
- Separate commercial rights (and P&L)
- But shared know how, human resource and (as appropriate) premises
